A 26-year-old Stafford woman received numerous charges after a highly intoxicated ordeal at the International House of Pancakes.

On July 20th at approximately 3:32 a.m. deputies responded to IHOP, located at 10 Simpson Road, for a disturbance. Staff advised there was a physical altercation between two females. When deputies arrived, they observed one of the involved females, identified as Ahmani Graves, attempting to leave the scene.

Graves had clear signs of intoxication, including glassy bloodshot eyes and the heavy odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath. She would refuse to listen to deputies’ commands, so they attempted to detain her. That is when things spiraled and Graves began to resist. She would scream profanities and racial slurs, assault and kick deputies, and make threats that she advised were not a threat, but “a promise.” Due to her constant resisting and assault attempts, a hobble was used to restrain her legs in order to safely place her in the back of a cruiser. Despite this, Graves would kick the rear passenger door, bending the frame. Her behavior continued all the way to Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Once Graves was detained, deputies made contact with the reporting party and original victim. It was discovered Graves was driving a Honda and the victim was in the passenger seat. After Graves struck a curb, the victim confronted her on her level of intoxication. In response, Graves tackled the victim, chased her into the restaurant, and assaulted her.

Luckily, both the victim and all four deputies received only minor injuries. Graves was charged with six counts of assault and battery on law enforcement, three counts of obstruction of justice, felony destruction of property, misdemeanor destruction of property, driving under the influence, assault and battery, as well as, disorderly conduct. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $10,000 secured bond.
