From brakes to breaking and entering. The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a recent breaking and entering that occurred in South Stafford.
On May 14th at approximately 3:22 a.m. deputies responded to Express Auto Group, located at 228 Cambridge Street, for a business alarm. It was expressed that a window had been broken. When deputies arrived, they located the broken window with a chair conveniently placed under it. This wheely suspicious observation led deputies to clear the business to ensure no one was inside.
It was discovered the suspect jump-started this crime by cutting wires connected to a Verizon box. Unlike your common action films, this would not disable the security cameras. He would then crank up the offense by shattering the window and entering the business. After finding nothing worth taking, the suspect wanted to test drive his luck with a locked door. He would attempt to break down the door; however, when the door would not budge, this threw a wrench into his plan and he left empty-handed.
The suspect, who parked his morals at the door, was described as approximately 5’9” and 160 pounds wearing a hoodie and dark gloves. The investigation is on-track and on-going. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office. |
