Peek a boo, the Sheriff’s Office sees you. A wanted woman’s fleeing attempt was quickly foiled Sunday morning.

On October 29th at approximately 11:10 a.m. deputies responded to the Sunnyside Mobile Home Park to serve a warrant. The 36-year-old Stafford woman was wanted out of Stafford for domestic assault and battery where she fled prior to deputy’s arrival. In an attempt to prevent her from fleeing once again, Sergeant R.K. Pinkard and Deputy C.M. Ramirez approached the front of the residence, while Deputy S.M. Craig approached the rear.

After getting confirmation the wanted woman was inside, Sergeant Pinkard began making announcements to have her exit without incident. It wouldn’t take Deputy Craig long to spot the suspect as she attempted to crawl out of a door that was approximately four feet off the ground. When she realized her escape route was blocked, she attempted to retreat within the residence. Deputy Craig quickly followed her through the now open door and attempted to arrest her. She would continually resist until Sergeant Pinkard mentioned she would be tased if she continued.

The woman was served on her outstanding warrant, as well as, obstruction of justice for her failed fleeing attempt. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
