A wanted man was located after a disturbance in North Stafford.
On October 2nd at approximately 10:45 a.m. Deputy C.S. Harding and Deputy S.M. Eastman responded to Washington and Lee Boulevard for a report of a disturbance. The caller advised there was an unknown man thought to be living behind their residence. When deputies arrived, they located abandoned tents, but no suspect.
Mere moments later, deputies would get a report of someone attempting to start a fight. Considering the description matched the suspect deputies were looking for and the location was only a few blocks away, they quickly responded. Deputies made contact with the suspect, who provided a false identity. The suspect’s lie was quickly found out due to his multiple run ins with deputies, and even a bystander identifying him. The suspect was discovered to be Bruce Williams, 41, of Stafford. Williams was wanted for felony possession of controlled substances, and a capias. Now adding yet another charge to his ever-growing list, Williams was taken into custody.
Upon bringing Williams to Rappahannock Regional Jail, suspected drug paraphernalia was located. Williams was charged with falsely identifying himself to law enforcement, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also served on his outstanding warrants and was held at Rappahannock Regional jail without bond. |
