The Stafford Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate Kelly Lewis, 37, of no fixed address, after a hit and run accident on Thursday, August 20th.

On August 20th, Deputy M.L. Jacobeen responded to the 3000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway for a head on collision between a Toyota Tacoma and a Toyota Rav4. The investigation revealed the Tacoma was travelling northbound on Jefferson Davis Highway when it crossed the center line and struck the other vehicle. The driver of the Rav4 was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A passenger in the Tacoma was identified as Timothy Wade, 37, of Stafford. Wade provided false information regarding who was operating the Tacoma and was subsequently charged with obstruction of justice.

The driver of the Tacoma had fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. A perimeter was established around the area and a K-9 search was conducted. The driver was able to avoid capture that day.

Through his investigation, Deputy Jacobeen identified the driver of the Tacoma as Kelly Lewis. Lewis is described as a white female, 5’5” tall, 130 pounds, with blond hair and brown eyes. She is currently wanted for felony hit and run. Anyone with information on her location is asked to contact the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office at 540-658-4400
