ORIGINAL POST: There is currently an active law enforcement investigation underway in the area of the Days Inn located at 14 Simpson Lane. Units with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting. One suspect is in custody and we are currently searching for a second suspect. The suspect we are searching for is described as a black male wearing dark clothing and a black mask. He is approximately 5’10” and skinny. A K9 unit and drone team are on scene, and units will be canvassing the area in search of the subject. We are asking residents in that area to stay indoors and report anything suspicious by calling 9-1-1. We will update the community as soon as we have more information.
