Stafford, VA. A wanted suspect was arrested on Sunday evening after trespassing on school property and providing false identification to units with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 28, 2019, at approximately 7:01 p.m., Deputy J.A. Mangan observed a suspicious vehicle in a gravel area adjacent to Anne E. Moncure Elementary School located at 75 Moncure Lane. There was a female driver and a male passenger as well as three children in the backseat of the vehicle.

Deputy Mangan made contact with the driver who was identified as Holly Bright, 26, of Stafford. He informed her that they were on school property, which is considered trespassing. He also detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle.

The deputy then requested identification for both adults. The passenger provided a social security number; however, the number returned to a deceased individual. He then provided another social security number, which returned to a female. He also provided a false name.

Deputy Mangan and Sgt. L.A. Burgess then requested that the male suspect exit the vehicle. Initially, the suspect complied, but, once out of the vehicle, he attempted to push past the deputy and run. They managed to restrain the suspect, but he continued to resist arrest. The altercation resulted in minor injuries to both Deputy Mangan and Sgt. Burgess.

The suspect was taken into custody and identified as Prentice Juggins, 27, of Stafford who was wanted out of Stafford County for multiple offenses including probation violations, failure to appear, destruction of property, domestic assault and battery, and attempted breaking and entering. A search of the vehicle yielded a substance consistent with marijuana.

Juggins was served the outstanding warrants as well as additional warrants for obstruction of justice, possession of marijuana, identity fraud, false identity to law enforcement, trespassing on school property, and assault and battery on a law enforcement officer. He was incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

Bright was served a warrant for driving while suspended.
