The Sheriff’s Office added yet another firearm to its evidence locker after an intoxicated Stafford woman made multiple threats with it.

On April 15th at approximately 6:25 p.m. Deputy S.C. Jett responded to a call of a disturbance with a weapon in the Park Ridge subdivision. The caller advised during a backyard party, an intoxicated neighbor presented a firearm as she made multiple threats.

Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with the suspect. She had very glassy, bloodshot eyes, and the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath. When asked where the firearm was, the suspect would change her answer from there is no gun, to people know she has a gun, and finally that the gun was on the trashcan inside her residence. Deputy Jett was able to secure the firearm.

The suspect advised the incident in question never occurred even though multiple witnesses said otherwise. Witnesses advised the suspect had been drinking since 10:00 a.m. They further advised she would scream inappropriate comments in the presence of kids, pulled out her firearm, was heard on the phone saying “I’m about to kill somebody” and even yelled at her Pitbull’s to kill for her.

The suspect was charged with four counts of brandishing a firearm, assault and battery, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, as well as, reckless handling of a firearm. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
