If you’re going to try and hide from law enforcement, it’s not the smartest thing to hide next to a window, and livestream your location.

On September 13th, at 8:31 a.m. Deputy J.E. Cordes responded to Green Tree Road in reference to a subject unlawfully entering a vacant apartment after being evicted. The subject, Tyrone Tutson, 38, of Stafford, could be seen from the apartment window conducting a Facebook livestream. When Deputy Cordes arrived on scene, Tutson was kind enough to let his audience know the Sheriff’s Office had arrived.

Deputy Cordes knocked on the apartment door multiple times asking for Tutson to open the door. It was apparent Tutson was aware of Deputy Cordes considering a witness was watching Tutson’s live braodcast. The property manager gave deputies the key to the apartment; however, Tutson used the safety lock to barricade himself inside.

Deputy Cordes was given permission to access the apartment by management, and enter he did. After ten mintues of verbal commands to exit the apartment, Deputy Cordes kicked down the door. This seemed to surprise Tutson on his livestream. He was placed into handcuffs and his livestream was ended a bit sooner then he anticipated.

Tutson was charged with entrance into a property to damage and obstruction of justice. He was also trespassed from the area. Tutson was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
