Did you know you can file a police report over the phone and online without having to make a trip to the Stafford Sheriff’s Office?

You can report a crime or incident over the phone by calling our non-emergency number, 540-658-4400. To report a crime online, please click on the "Forms/Resources" tab and then click on the "Report a Crime or Incident" tab.

Online reporting can be used to report several types of crimes including Assault & Battery (if the victim is an adult and the incident is not domestic related), Larceny (under $200), Hit and Run (if there are no injuries), Harassing and Obscene Phone Calls, Vehicle Tampering, Vandalism (under $1,000), and Credit Card Fraud.

We’d like to remind the community that online reporting should not be used in the case of an emergency. Always dial 911 in the case of an emergency.

Don’t forget to follow us on social media and our website for our latest news and information.
