Stafford, VA. A long term investigation by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit came to an end of Thursday with the arrest of two suspects on drug distribution charges.

On August 9, 2018, members of SIU and patrol responded to a residence at Westmoreland Place to execute a search warrant and arrest warrant for a suspect identified as Samuel Thomas Rossi, 19, of Stafford. During the search, a large amount of marijuana and cash was uncovered.

Rossi was subsequently taken into custody and incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a secured bond. He is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

As a result of the investigation at the residence, a second suspect was also taken into custody for possession of marijuana and a large amount of cash.

Matthew Daniel Taylor, 23, of Locust Grove, was arrested and incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. He is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
