Stafford, VA. A suspect was arrested on Monday night by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office after he broke into a residence and assaulted a female subject inside.

On July 23, 2018, Deputy Samantha Whitt and Sgt. Nicolaos Zotos responded to Stevens Circle in regards to a reported breaking and entering. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the victim who said the suspect arrived at her residence, broke in, and assaulted her.

The victim explained that earlier in the evening she was visiting the household of the suspect whom she identified as her former boyfriend, Albert William Ware. A verbal argument ensued when she attempted to leave the residence. Shortly after the victim returned to her residence, the suspect appeared at her bedroom window and she told him to leave.

The suspect then went to the door, and the victim opened it while leaving the storm door closed and locked. The suspect then forced open the storm door and lunged into the residence. He pushed the victim against a bookshelf and then a filing cabinet, causing an injury to her chin.

Deputy Alex Smith and his K9 partner, Lobo, successfully located the suspect near the wood line in the area of Foxwood Drive and Anita Drive.

Ware was incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail on charges of breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, assault and battery, felonious assault, trespassing, and abduction by force, intimidation or deception.
