Stafford, VA. Deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office apprehended two suspects on Thursday after they stole several makeup items from Giant Food on Worth Avenue.

On April 19, 2018, at approximately 5:01 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a call from a loss prevention employee at Giant regarding a male and female who left the store with stolen makeup and stockings, and drove away in a white Ford Explorer.

Deputy A.T. Leckemby was in the area and observed the suspect vehicle stopped at a light turning on to Garrisonville Road. The deputy initiated a traffic stop near Popeyes located at 253 Garrisonville Road. The deputy observed a female in the driver’s seat and a male in the passenger’s seat. The female told the deputy that the staff at Giant had accused her of stealing, so she left the items and exited the store.

In the meantime, Deputy D.C. Reed was reviewing security video footage at the store. The deputy observed the male suspect put several items from the beauty aisle in his pockets. He then left the store and placed the items in his vehicle before coming back into Giant and stating he was looking for his wallet. The footage also showed the female suspect yelling at the staff at Giant, leaving her items, and then walking out of the store with the male suspect.

Deputy Leckemby searched the suspect vehicle and uncovered the stolen items as well as marijuana. The suspects were identified as Monasha Shanee Blair, 23, and Sean Dareius Blair, 27, of Stafford. The deputy learned Monasha Blair was driving on a suspended license and Sean Blair was on probation.

Sean Blair was incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond on charges of felony shoplifting and possession of marijuana. Monasha Blair was charged with driving while suspended, shoplifting, and possession of marijuana.
