Stafford, VA. A woman was arrested by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office last week after attempting to fraudulently obtain prescription medication at the Giant Pharmacy on 317 Worth Avenue in Stafford.

On December 27, 2017 at approximately 2:17 p.m., Stafford deputies responded to a call from a pharmacist regarding a woman attempting to fill a prescription for Oxycodone. Suspecting the prescription was fraudulent, the pharmacist called the doctor listed on the prescription letterhead and learned the doctor was unfamiliar with the prescription.

The pharmacist recognized the suspect from a prior incident. The suspect had filled a prescription for 90 hydrocodone pills on December 18 and came in again with another prescription for 90 hydrocodone pills on December 20. The pharmacist confirmed with the doctor that both prescriptions were fraudulent and reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect, identified as Ana Patricia Juarez, 22, of Woodbridge, confirmed the prescription for Oxycodone was fraudulent and told deputies this is not the first time she has committed prescription fraud.

Deputies conducted a search of the suspect’s purse subsequent to her arrest and discovered two empty Oxycodone bottles and two white pills, which Juarez identified as Percocet.

Juarez was incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail with no bond on charges of prescription fraud, possession of a controlled substance, forging and uttering, and identity fraud.
