By Public Information Officer M.C. MORRIS MONCURE
June 7, 2017

On June 7, 2017, at approximately 1:38 AM, Stafford Deputies responded to a fight in progress in the 300 block of Garrison Woods. Two callers had informed dispatch the fight included more than two dozen subjects. Upon arrival, Deputy S.B. Sparry noticed the group had dispersed, but he located several people in the common area and interviewed them.

Three female subjects related similar descriptions of the evening’s events. All three stated that they were assaulted by an intoxicated male subject who became angered due to his concern about his brother’s vehicle being potentially damaged. One of the females stated the fight was solely between her and a male subject. The other females attempted to break up the fight and were also assaulted by the male. The male was no longer on the scene, but patrol deputies soon encountered him nearby and interviewed him concerning the evening’s events.

Deputies detected the male subject had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his person and observed his eyes were glassy. He was interviewed and taken into custody.

Keon Jamall Madden, age 26 of Garrison Woods Drive in Stafford, VA, was charged with Assault and Battery and Public Intoxication. He was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail
