Yesterday at approximately 12:45 p.m. Deputy A.M. Pitts responded to the Apple Grove Subdivision for a suspicious incident. The reporting party, an adult female, advised she was on a walk around her neighborhood when she noticed a vehicle she had not seen before. As she continued her walk she noticed the suspect vehicle following her. The reporting party confronted the driver when he advised “you need to get in my car” and even attempted to tempt her with promises of money. She refused, left the area, and called the Sheriff’s Office. The suspect could not be located.

The suspect vehicle was described as a black Honda Civic with no front license plate and a temporary license plate on the rear. The suspect was described as an either Hispanic or Middle Eastern male who was approximately 25 to 30 years old.

While it is unknown why the suspect attempted to have the reporting party enter his vehicle, suspicious activity like this is taken very seriously by the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office. If something like this happens to you, contact your local law enforcement immediately. Parents, please continue to educate your children on the importance of stranger danger and what to do in situations like this.
