Everyone loves a good brother team. From the Jonas brothers, to the Hemsworth brothers, even the Super Mario brothers; however, these Woodbridge twins would only end up together behind bars.

On February 13th at approximately 5:26 p.m. Deputy R.L. Hubbard and Deputy S.A. Hensley responded to Walmart, located at 11 Village Parkway, for an active shoplifting. Staff advised two males were currently walking out of the store with unpaid items. Due to their quick response, deputies were able to locate the duo in the Lidl parking lot with their shopping carts full of unpaid items.

The twins, identified as Anthony Hagler and Nicholas Hagler, both 40, advised they came to the Walmart with the intention of stealing items they could later sell. Someone forgot to inform the duo Stafford County might not be the best place to try and get away with a crime. Nearly $650 worth of items, including ten bottles of laundry detergent, nine packages of lighters, four hams, and the nostalgic Zebra Cakes, were turned back over to staff. It was also discovered Nicholas had two capiases out of Prince William County. During a search incident to arrest, both were found with suspected controlled substances.

Unlike Zack and Cody, these twins’ ride would not be as sweet. Both were charged with larceny and possession of controlled substances. Nicholas was additionally served on his outstanding warrants. The brothers would have time continuing to bond in Rappahannock Regional Jail where Anthony was held on a $1,500 secured bond and Nicholas was held without bond.
