Two juveniles ended up in the hospital and one 18-year-old Stafford man ended up in Rappahannock Regional Jail after a fight that occurred Monday night.

On January 29th at approximately 8:53 p.m. deputies responded to Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg for a report of a stabbing. Fredericksburg Police Officers advised two 17-year-old males arrived at the hospital with stab wounds they received while in Stafford County. Deputies made contact with the victims and discovered they were involved in an eight person fight that occurred in the Southgate Subdivision. During the altercation, both received non-life-threatening stab wounds and are expected to fully recover.

Deputies responded to the neighborhood and located an obvious crime scene. Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit were notified and began investigating. With community assistance, video evidence was recovered.

Due to their collective efforts, the suspect was identified as Richmond Yeboah. On January 30th at approximately 4:22 p.m. deputies and detectives executed a search warrant at Yeboah’s residence on Queensland Drive. There, Yeboah was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with two counts of malicious wounding and was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.

Great work to our deputies and detectives for quickly identifying the suspect and taking him into custody. We’d also like to thank community members for their assistance in this investigation.
