Two Woodbridge individuals targeting Target were targeted and hauled Monday afternoon.

On January 29th at approximately 1:30 p.m. Deputy A.M. Pitts responded to Target, located at 1090 Stafford Market Place, for a report of a larceny. Staff advised two repeat thieves returned to the scene of the crime and were in the process of stealing again. Determined to catch the duo, deputies quickly responded to the area.

Staff advised the suspects left in a black Audi and were leaving Stafford Market Place. They would only make it to the Garrisonville Road intersection before Deputy S.C. Martin and Deputy J.E. Alford of the Traffic Safety Unit would spot them and conduct a traffic stop. While Deputy Pitts reviewed footage of the larceny, she discovered the pair stole two vacuums and a cordless massager. Not surprisingly, the three items were located within the vehicle.

The suspects were identified as Aaron Richardson, 56, and Denise Schultz, 57. While the total of this larceny was only approximately $660 worth, upon further investigation it was discovered the pair had been involved in five other larcenies from Targets in both Stafford County and Fairfax. Their grand total of stolen items was over $5,400.

On their sixth attempt the pair wouldn’t walk away empty handed, for now they each received warrants. Both were charged with organized retail theft. The Fairfax Police Department advised they will be obtaining additional warrants. Luckily, they know where they’ll be for a while considering Schultz was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $25,000 secured bond, and Richardson was held without bond.
