Four for One Arrest

You’ve heard of buy one get one free, and maybe even Wendy’s 4 for $4, but Stafford County’s deal of four arrests during one traffic stop might just take the cake.

On January 10th at approximately 11:00 p.m. Deputy S.T. Myers was traveling Southbound on I-95 near the Warrenton Road exit. As he was, he observed a vehicle traveling 85 MPH in a 65 MPH. After a quick check, it was also discovered the registered owner had a suspended driver’s license due to a DUI offense. Deputy Myers conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 131, as additional deputies responded to assist.

The driver and registered owner was Joseph Eddy, 51, of Goochland. The passengers were identified as Ashlie Frazier, 37, of Stafford, Karrie Ramsey, 48, of Fredericksburg, and Mario Puga, 57, of Fredericksburg. Deputy A.J. Charoenthep knew Ramsey was wanted for felony probation violation and possession of controlled substances, so she was detained. Deputy S.A. Hensley knew Frazier was wanted for possession of controlled substances, so she was detained. While conversing with the driver, not only were suspected controlled substances observed, but a firearm and radar detection device were as well.

During a search of the vehicle and search incident to arrest, numerous suspected controlled substances were located resulting in additional charges. The vehicle was towed for all four occupants were now headed to Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Eddy was charged with possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute, possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute while in possession of a weapon, weapon possession by a felon, driving with a revoked driver’s license, and having a radar detection device within the vehicle. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. Ramsey was served on her outstanding warrants and additionally charged with possession of controlled substances. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. Puga was charged with possession of controlled substances. He was held on a $3,000 secured bond. Frazier was served on her outstanding warrant. She too was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
