Paving work, bridge joint repairs will be underway

FREDERICKSBURG – Interstate 95 northbound near Fredericksburg will be reduced to a single lane tonight at the Route 17 overpass in Stafford County.

Two northbound lanes will be closed from 10 p.m. tonight until 4 a.m. Friday morning on the overpass, which is located just north of the Rappahannock River bridge at Exit 133/Falmouth.

An additional work zone will be underway tonight on I-95 northbound in the Fredericksburg area for paving. Between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Friday morning, single and double lane closures will be in place on northbound I-95 between exit 126/Spotsylvania and exit 130/Route 3 at Fredericksburg.

Motorists are encouraged to use Route 1 as an alternate route.
