The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of Erica Lynne Mesa, age 27 of 410 Batley Ct., Fredericksburg. Erica Mesa has been charged with 3 Counts of Custodian Indecent Liberties and 3 Counts of Solicitation of a Minor Using a Computer Device. Ms. Mesa, a teacher and coach at Colonial Forge High School in Stafford County is currently incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.

Stafford County Detectives, working in cooperation with the Colonial Forge School Administration, received information that a school teacher was involved in a sexual relationship with a student. The teacher was identified as Erica Mesa of Colonial Forge High School. The preliminary investigation has indicated that Mesa had a sexual relationship with male student, age 16-17 in February, May and September of 2014. The investigation has also shown that Mesa sent nude photographs of herself to the student as well.

This investigation is in its initial phase and will be ongoing. Additional charges are possible. Due to the ongoing nature of this investigation no additional information will available.
