On Tuesday, September 23, 2014, the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office will be escorting Marine SGT. Charles C. Strong to Stafford County from Dover Air Force Base. SGT Strong was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps’ elite special command. He was killed in Afghanistan on September 15, 2014.

The escort should arrive in Stafford County at approximately 3:00 pm. The escort route will be Rt. 3 to Cool Spring Road to Butler Road. The escort will then go north on Route 1 (Jefferson Davis Hwy.) to Courthouse Road in Stafford County to Covenant Funeral Home on Courthouse Road.

This is an opportunity for the citizens of Stafford County to come out, while the escort goes by, and honor this brave man who gave his all for our Country.
