CITIZEN'S ASSISTANCE REQUESTED

Stafford, Va. The Stafford County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in helping to identify the individual or individuals responsible for the death of Katherine Bryant, whose skeletal remains were found on August 16, 2012 in the wooded area near the northbound 140 ramp exit of I-95.

Stafford County detectives have been actively investigating this incident but need the public's assistance in helping to solve this case. The death of Katherine Bryant, who was 33 years old at the time of her death, is being investigated as a homicide. She was last seen in the Washington, D.C. area in the summer of 2006 where she was reported missing by family members. Ms. Bryant was a known associate of one the most notorious, violent drug organizations in the Washington, D.C. area history, referred to as Murder Incorporated. Murder Inc. was responsible for numerous murders as well as the sale of heroin, cocaine and marijuana.

"This young lady is a daughter and a sister and her family deserves to know who is responsible for her death," states Sheriff Charles Jett. "The Stafford County Sheriff's Office is committed to finding the person or persons responsible for this terrible crime."

The Stafford County Sheriff's Office is asking assistance in identifying the individual or individuals responsible for the death of Katherine Bryant. Anyone with information is requested to call Detective Todd Nosal at 540-658-4492, Detective Barry Surles at 540-658-4927, Crime Solvers at 540-659-2020 (a reward of up to $1,000.00 is possible) or by texting STAFFORD and your tip to CRIMES (274637).
