| STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. – On May 8, 2026, at approximately 11 a.m., the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office was alerted of an assault by a mob involving juveniles that happened on May 7, 2026.
Camera footage showed four suspects assaulting a juvenile on May 7, 2026, in the area of England Run. It was determined that the assault stemmed from a previous incident involving the victim.
From the footage, detectives were able to identify each suspect and discover that firearms were involved. One of the suspects was 18 years old, while the other three were juveniles.
Conducting a traffic stop and executing a search warrant, three of the suspects were located inside the vehicle. The two juveniles were transported to the Sheriff’s Office for questioning with their parents present. The 18-year-old was placed under arrest for their outstanding warrants. The fourth suspect was later transported to the Sheriff’s Office by one of their parents.
An investigation into the vehicle resulted in a firearm being located on one of the suspects’ persons, and the firearm was subsequently secured. The firearm was entered as evidence. During the interviews, the suspects admitted to being involved in the assault and robbing the victim of a firearm.
Detectives were then able to identify the suspect who filmed the video. The suspect was brought in for questioning and charged for their involvement.
The 18-year-old was identified as Jadin Sampson Johnson, 18, of Stafford. Sampson Johnson was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and assault by mob. Sampson Johnson was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
The first juvenile was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and assault by mob. The second juvenile was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, assault by mob, underage possession of a firearm, and concealment of a weapon. The third juvenile was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, assault by mob, wearing a mask in public, underage possession of a firearm, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Finally, the fourth juvenile who filmed the assault was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
The juveniles were held at the Rappahannock Juvenile Detention Center.
