A wanted woman and her friends attempted to hide from deputies, but instead were caught quicker than an affair at a Coldplay concert.

On July 20th at approximately 12:31 p.m. deputies responded to a residence on Forest Lane Road for a wanted suspect. Deputies received information that a female, who was wanted out of both Fredericksburg and Fairfax, was currently at the residence.

Deputies arrived at the residence and made contact with the home owner. The home owner advised the wanted female wasn’t in the residence; however, he was observed texting her that deputies would not leave until she came out of the residence. After numerous attempts to have him comply, which he refused, the home owner was detained. Deputies began making announcements for the wanted female to exit the residence. Despite being seen by deputies running around upstairs, the wanted female continued to pretend that she wasn’t home. Taking a hint deputies were not just going to walk away, she eventually surrendered, but not before using derogatory remarks towards deputies.

After the wanted female was detained, deputies learned there was one other male still in the residence. Again, after numerous announcements the male refused to comply, but later surrendered after a brief standoff. The home owner did not know the other male.

The home owner received a summons for obstruction of justice. The wanted female was charged with obstruction of justice, using abusive language, and served on her outstanding warrants. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. The other male was charged with obstruction of justice and trespassing. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,500 secured bond.
