Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred last night in South Stafford.

On July 15th, at approximately 10:56 p.m., deputies responded to the England Run Apartments Subdivision for multiple reports of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they located a 19-year-old male at the scene with apparent gunshot wounds. The first deputies on scene, First Sergeant M.L. Jacobeen, Deputy M.A. Holub, and Deputy S.M. Kotter, began rendering aid to the victim until medical staff could arrive. Despite their efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Out of respect for the victim’s family, the victim’s name is not being released at this time.

Detectives worked through the night and early morning hours collecting evidence and talking with witnesses. As a result of the investigation, it was determined two shooters were involved and this was not a random act of violence. This afternoon, two juvenile suspects were arrested and charged in connection with the homicide.
