A 57-year-old Stafford woman who was wanted on felony drug offenses was located and detained despite her best efforts.
On May 21st at approximately 1:54 a.m. Deputy P.J. Leon responded to a service request on Barnum Drive. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office had several drug related warrants for Holly Wickline, some of which involved fentanyl. When Deputy Leon arrived at her residence he attempted to make contact with her. While Wickline answered the door, she was adamant that she was not the woman he was looking for. When this Jedi mind trick did not work, Wickline used the common bathroom excuse and retreated back into the residence.
Using the wonderful world of the internet, Deputy Leon was able to confirm without a reasonable doubt the woman he was just talking with was Wickline. At the same time, Deputy Leon received a call from someone advising they were a family member of Wickline and demanded information on the case. Deputy Leon immediately could tell the caller was Wickline, even though she provided a false identity. With the assistance of additional deputies, it was made clear Stafford deputies were not just going to walk away from the scene. Eventually, Wickline surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.
Wickline was served on her outstanding warrants and additionally charged with two counts of obstruction of justice, as well as, identity theft. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. |
