A wanted Spotsylvania man had a failed attempt in hiding from deputies yesterday afternoon.
On April 21st, at approximately 5:18 p.m., deputies received a warrant service at Corbin’s RV, located at 348 King’s Highway. The caller advised William Acors, 39, was at the business. Acors was wanted out of Stafford for a capias offense.
Due to Acors having a history of fleeing from deputies, a perimeter was quickly established. Deputies began searching the business; however, were not coming up with any leads. As Deputy S.C. Steinway continued searching he began checking the luggage compartments of the RVs on scene. Within the second compartment Deputy Steinway searched, he located a male hiding face down. The luggage rider was quickly identified as Acors and detained.
Acors was searched and suspected controlled substances were located. Acors was served on his outstanding warrant and held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. Narcotic charges are pending.
