| While this isn’t Tokyo, there was plenty of drifting. A 29-year-old Stafford woman was caught driving drunk with children in the vehicle early Sunday morning.
On November 20th at approximately 12:35 a.m. Sergeant B.U. Demirci was traveling Southbound on Warrenton Road. While K-9 Titan might have been enjoying the brisk cool air, Sergeant Demirci had his eyes on a Camaro in front of him. As the Camaro traveled, it would continuously drift. At one point the vehicle drifted so far it was driving in the middle of both lanes before overcorrecting and hitting a left lane divider, before drifting once again. Sergeant Demirci conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Heartfields Lane as Deputy C.M. Sterne responded to assist.
Within the vehicle was the driver, identified as Chaizika Gadson, and two children. Gadson advised she only consumed “half” a shot; however, due to the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her breath, it was easy to determine it was more than that. During their encounter with Gadson, her signs of impairment would only continue to get worse to the point that it was difficult for her to form coherent sentences.
Gadson was charged with driving under the influence, refusal, obstruction of justice, the traffic lane violation, and two counts of felony child neglect. She was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. Both children were turned over to a nearby sober family member.
Drive sober or get pulled over. |
