One Stafford driver left the scene of an accident with some important clues left behind.
On October 4th at approximately 9:48 p.m. Deputy M.A. Holub responded to the intersection of Hollywood Farm Road and Fisher Lane for a single vehicle auto accident. The caller advised they stumbled upon an overturned vehicle. When Deputy Holub arrived, he located a vehicle on its side, but no driver.
The mystery would not take long to unravel. Within the vehicle was the driver’s phone with Google Maps still displayed with directions to the registered owner’s residence. Deputies responded to the residence where they made contact with a family member. While the suspect driver was no longer there, it was advised he had stopped by just after the crash.
The driver’s phone is currently being held at the Sheriff’s Office where the owner can pick it, and a warrant for hit and run, up. |
