Stolen, spotted, and seized. Two males had their late-night ride in a stolen vehicle cut short by Stafford deputies.

On August 26th at approximately 11:44 p.m. First Sergeant B.W. Collins was traveling in the area of Staffordboro Boulevard when he observed a stolen vehicle. First Sergeant Collins continued following the vehicle into the Foxwood Trailer Park as Deputy S. Waheed responded to assist. In order to prevent a possible pursuit, Deputy Waheed blocked the road in front of them as First Sergeant Collins initiated a traffic stop. Both occupants were detained without incident.

The driver, Edwuan Greene, 19, of Woodbridge, was discovered with tobacco despite his age, as well as, a controlled substance. While at first, Greene advised someone “gave” him the vehicle, he later admitted to stealing it from his neighborhood when he learned of there being camera footage of the larceny. The passenger, Elijah Snyder, 29, of Stafford, was intoxicated and also had a controlled substance.

Both suspects had their joyride cut short; however, got a free ride to Rappahannock Regional Jail. Greene was charged with possession of a controlled substance, grand larceny, driving without a driver’s license, and underage possession of tobacco. Snyder was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Both were held without bond.

Great work to First Sergeant Collins and Deputy Waheed for not only locating a stolen vehicle, but seizing controlled substances.
