A 62-year-old intoxicated Stafford man answered nature’s call while in mid-conversation with deputies.

On August 12th at approximately 7:42 p.m. First Sergeant A.I. Assur and Deputy S.A. Fulford were in the area of Belle Plains Road in reference to a possibly intoxicated male who had previously caused a disturbance nearby. Deputies were able to locate the suspect as he was holding a half-drunk Miller High Life.

The suspect had slurred speech and the very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath as he talked. That would not be the worst thing deputies observed as he talked. While chatting with deputies, the suspect proceeded to expose himself and urinate. After nature’s call was answered, he was placed in handcuffs.

The suspect became belligerent, screamed multiple profanities, and advised he was going to “knock” the jaw off of deputies. His less than cooperative behavior continued in front of the magistrate. The suspect was charged with public intoxication, indecent exposure, and obstruction of justice. He was held at Rappahannock Regional jail pending his ability to participate in a bond hearing.
