Spike Strip Strikes Again

You would think the word would have gotten out to not flee law enforcement in Stafford County. In an eerily similar fashion to a pursuit earlier this month, another King George County pursuit came to Stafford to end on a spike strip.

On July 21st at 10:02 p.m. Deputy M.A. Holub responded to the 500 block of Kings Highway when he learned the King George County Sheriff’s Office was requesting assistance with a pursuit. A King George deputy was in pursuit of a westbound Toyota Corolla at over 90 mph.

Deputy Holub set up in the median with his spike strip and patiently waited. He wouldn’t have to wait long as the pursuit sped past his location. A perfect toss of the spike strip by Deputy Holub deflated both passenger side tires of the Corolla. The suspect continued to the intersection of Ferry Road, causing the rapid disintegration of the tires.

The driver and two passengers in the Corolla were quickly detained and turned over to King George deputies for charges. Great work Deputy Holub for quickly ending this pursuit!
