The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office seized another firearm into evidence after a 23-year-old Stafford man brandished it over the weekend.

On July 9th at approximately 9:39 a.m. Deputy W.E. Trainor responded to the Malvern Lakes Apartments for a disturbance. The victim advised her ex-partner pointed a firearm at her. Deputy Trainor met with the victim as nearby deputies searched for the suspect.

The victim advised her relationship with the suspect was over; however, there was still personal belongings at his residence she needed. The victim and suspect met so the victim could retrieve the items. During the interaction, the victim reported the suspect pointed his firearm at her.

Deputies were able to locate the suspect in the area and conducted a traffic stop. The suspect was detained without incident as Deputy Trainor responded to converse with him. During their interaction, the firearm described was located concealed from plain view.
The suspect was charged with brandishing a firearm, concealed weapons permit violation, as well as, served a no contact protection order.

He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
