Two women were charged with disorderly conduct after a hair raising incident at a Stafford business yesterday morning.

On May 26th at 11:01 a.m. deputies responded to a business on Perchwood Drive for a fight in progress. Deputy M.L. Warnick arrived to find a 20-year-old Stafford woman at the business and learned a 22-year-old Fredericksburg woman had fled in a vehicle. A “Be On the Lookout” was broadcasted for the vehicle. As so often happens in Stafford County, deputies located and stopped the suspect vehicle.

The investigation revealed there is an ongoing dispute between the two women. The Fredericksburg woman had followed the Stafford woman to the business on Perchwood Drive leading to the confrontation in the parking lot. The confrontation is believed to be in regards to a mutual acquaintance of the two women.

During the fracas, the Fredericksburg woman unleashed a stream of pepper spray on the Stafford woman’s vehicle. Punches were exchanged between the pugilists and a braid was removed from the Fredericksburg woman’s head and left in the parking lot. An employee of the business broke up the fight.

Neither woman required medical treatment and warrants for disorderly conduct were obtained on both combatants. Each was served with a warrant and released on their promise to appear in court.
