A North Carolina woman turned a misdemeanor arrest to a felony after shooting saliva. Luckily for deputies, she announced her strategy shortly prior.

On April 15th at approximately 11:19 a.m. Deputy C.D. Sullivan responded to 7-Eleven, located at 25 Solomon Drive, but not for a signature Slurpee. This serious snafu involved a suspect shattering a store staff members shiny smartphone after she seeked to called the Sheriff’s Office. After being shown the suspect on surveillance cameras, Deputy Sullivan scoured the area for the smartphone smasher.

Some suspects search for subsistence after some crimes. In this serious story, sandwiches were sought out at Arby’s. Sheriff’s Office staff stepped across the street to see the suspect sitting inside. Deputies swiftly spoke to the suspect; however, she seemed somewhat uncooperative. She would scream and curse at deputies throughout the situation. She was subsequently settled into silver handcuffs.

Standing in the parking lot, the suspect stated she should spit saliva towards a specific deputy. One speedy deputy swerved the suspects head slightly to have the streaking spit switch directions and strike the side of a Sheriff’s Office vehicle. Simultaneously, she swapped her crimes to a serious felony for assault and battery towards law enforcement.

The suspect, Asia Wheeless, 30, was shipped speedily to Rappahannock Regional Jail where she was served on the charges of destruction of property, preventing the victim from calling law enforcement, and assault and battery on law enforcement. She was held without bail.
