A Spotsylvania woman left a trail in the road from her damaged tire all the way to the scene of her DUI arrest.

On January 20th at 4:33 a.m. Deputy D.M. Bertrand and Deputy J.W. Ahern responded to a drunk driver complaint in the area of Mountain View High School. A witness reported a grey Nissan sedan was driving on a flat tire in the area.

The deputies located gouge marks in the road, indicative of vehicle being driven on a rim. The trail led to Montpelier Drive, where the suspect was parked. The 19-year-old driver was still in the running vehicle and obviously intoxicated.

A half empty (or half full depending on your level of pessimism) bottle of tequila was found in the vehicle. The driver was arrested for DUI, refusal and underage possession of alcohol. She was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail until sober.

Drive sober or get pulled over.
