A Stafford man will be trick or treating in the Rappahannock Regional Jail after his arrest for DUI this weekend.

On October 28th, at approximately 10:20 p.m. Deputy J.D. Hurt was traveling on Garrisonville Road near Onville Road when he observed a vehicle drive through a red traffic signal. Deputy Hurt activated his emergency equipment to conduct a traffic stop.

The driver, Joshua Weaver, 33, had glassy, bloodshot eyes and the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Weaver also admitted to consuming alcohol before driving. Deputy Hurt discovered Weaver had active warrants for two counts of failure to comply. Weaver was charged with driving under the influence second offense in ten years and failing to obey the traffic light. He was also served on his outstanding warrants.

Weaver was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. Great work by Deputy Hurt for taking another drunk driver off the roadways.
