A Stafford man started his weekend off in jail after violating a protective order.

On October 8th, at approximately 12:21 a.m. Deputy S. Waheed responded to a call that Kamwren Jones, 25, was violating a protective order and was currently in a residence on Gettysburg Court. Upon further investigation it was discovered Jones had not yet been served on the protective order.

When Deputy Waheed arrived on scene, he made contact with Jones. Jones was served on his protective order at 12:38 a.m. and was asked to leave. Jones advised he understood and he would leave. Jones was allowed to gather some of his belongings inside the residence before leaving. Deputy Waheed then left the scene.

Apparently, Jones did not understand and made contact with the caller again within the hour. Deputy Waheed located Jones once again and arrested him for violating the protective order. During the intake process at Rappahannock Regional Jail, suspected controlled substances were located in Jones’s boot. Jones added the extra charges of possession of a controlled substance and felony by prisoner. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
