On July 23rd, 2022 Deputy F.A. Martinez responded to a call of a disturbance at Cliff Circle at 11:26 p.m. The caller advised that the suspect was driving a silver Honda Civic and possibly intoxicated. When Deputy Martinez arrived on scene, he observed a verbal altercation between an individual and the driver of a silver Honda Civic. As Deputy Martinez drove closer, the driver of the Honda Civic began to drive away.

Deputy Martinez followed the vehicle as it drove 40MPH through the neighborhood and tried to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle did not stop, and continued driving onto Foxwood Drive. The vehicle then sped up to 50 MPH in the residential area.

The vehicle did eventually stop on Foxwood Drive. Deputy Martinez made contact with the driver, Walter Arnulfo Isidro-Ortiz, 23 of Stafford. Isidro-Ortiz had glassy, bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol coming from his breath.

Isidro-Ortiz was charged with driving under the influence and eluding police. He was held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1,000 secured bond.
