An intoxicated driver was arrested yesterday and charged with several offenses after a witness reported him passing a car on the double yellow.

On May 26th at 6:00 p.m. Deputy B.E. Vaughn responded to Garrisonville Road to check for a reckless driver in a silver Toyota Sequoia passing on the double yellow. Deputy Vaughn located the suspect vehicle near Eustace Road travelling at a high rate of speed and witnessed the suspect cut another car off.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Javier Santos, 24, of Woodbridge. A suspected controlled substance was located in Santos’ pocket and he was arrested.

Santos was charged with DUI, possession of a controlled substance, and a traffic lane violation. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1,500 bond.

Drive sober or get pulled over.
