A subject wanted on a probation violation was arrested after a struggle in the 300 block of Warrenton Road yesterday.

On April 21st at 11:30 a.m. Sergeant N. Zotos and Deputy M.E. Gordon learned Marcus Williams, 30, of Stafford, was in a vehicle parked at Mr. B’s on Warrenton Road. The deputies informed Williams he was under arrest and gave commands to take him into custody. Williams was argumentative and continued to tense up and resist the efforts of the deputies.

Once handcuffed, Williams continued to flail around and used an expletive while telling the deputies to get away from his vehicle. We are guessing he wanted to avoid the discovery of a handgun, complete with extended magazine, and suspected controlled substances in the vehicle. Those items were seized and resulted in several new warrants.

Deputies struggled to get Williams into the patrol car and once inside, he began beating his head against the door and door jam. He explained his intent to get bruises so he could get the deputies in trouble.

Williams was served the probation violation and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond. Additional warrants for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, weapon possession by a felon, possess firearm with drugs, and prohibited criminal street gang participation were obtained. These warrants are pending service at the jail.
