A repeat drunk driver who was initially booked under a relative’s name received a plethora of charges once his true identity was revealed.

On March 18th at 2:47 a.m. Deputy C.T. Richardson observed a vehicle speeding southbound into the Wayside. The suspect accelerated to 95 mph in the posted 45 mph zone before finally stopping at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Hope Road. Instead of putting his car in park, the suspect shifted to reverse and deputies had to yell several times to make him aware.

The driver had an odor of alcoholic beverage and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and he was arrested. The suspect had his brother’s identification in his wallet and told deputies he had never been arrested for DUI. He was charged with several offenses and booked into the Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $3,500 bond. Later that morning, when a relative came to bond the suspect out, they used the suspect’s real name. Jail staff realized the suspect was booked under his brother’s name and his true identity was Jimmy Chirinos Jimenez, 28, of Stafford.

Chirinos Jimenez was found to be wanted in Prince William for a Capias. Additionally, he had two prior DUI offenses and a suspended license. Chirinos Jimenez was served the outstanding warrant and new warrants were obtained for DUI third offense in ten years, driving suspended, reckless driving, refusal, obstruction, identity theft, and false identification. He was subsequently held without bond.

Drive sober or get pulled over.
