A Saturday afternoon single vehicle crash resulted in the arrest of a Stafford woman for DUI.

On March 5th at 6:27 p.m. Deputy J.K. Griffith and Deputy R.L. Hubbard responded to a single vehicle accident in the 500 block of Widewater Road. A witness reported the driver of the crashed vehicle had nearly struck him head on before the she ran off the road.

The driver of the crashed vehicle was identified as Katie Abell, 45. Field sobriety tests were conducted and she was arrested. Abell was charged with DUI with a blood alcohol content greater than .20%. She was held on a $1,000 bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
