Deputies locate a wanted man who is now facing his fourth DUI offense and other charges.

On August 16 at 5:36 p.m., Sergeant R.K. Pinkard and Deputy R.M. Connelly responded to the area of the Towne Center at Aquia for a report of a truck doing donuts in a parking lot.

Upon arrival, the pick-up continued to do donuts as Sergeant Pinkard pulled up to the vehicle. The driver eventually stopped and provided Sergeant Pinkard his identification information. As Deputy Connelly arrived on scene, the deputies learned the identity the driver provided was false. Deputy Connelly spoke with the driver to attempt to obtain his true identity, but the driver provided another false identity. The deputies confronted him again about his identity and he finally identified himself as William Scott III, 41, of Stafford.
The deputies discovered Scott was wanted out of Stafford County and Cumberland County. They also learned Scott’s license was revoked for a DUI offense. Scott smelled of alcoholic beverages and had slurred speech. Deputy Connelly administered field sobriety tests and Scott was arrested.

He was charged with driving under the influence-4th offense within 10 years, two counts of providing false identification to law enforcement, reckless driving, and driving on a revoked license. He was also served the three outstanding warrants. Scott was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
