The Stafford County Sheriff's Office has partnered with Blue Line Solutions to implement Automated Speed Enforcement Cameras in select Stafford County School Zones. This is a public/private partnership with Blue Line Solutions to enhance public safety in school zones, help change driver behavior, prevent crashes, encourage safer driving and increase compliance with posted school zone speed limits.

Violations exceeding the posted speed limit by 10 mph or more will result in a citation of up to $100. Speed enforcement cameras will be active and enforced only when school is in session and the school zone beacons are flashing. You can make a payment on a citation either online, by phone or through mail.

No citation is automatically generated. Every potential violation is individually reviewed, verified and approved by a Sheriff's Office Deputy before being mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle. Violations are civil penalties under Virginia law. They do not add DMV demerit points and are not reported as moving violations.
