What is a Crime Report?

A Crime Report is a brief synopsis of Sheriff's Reports that had taken place during a certain period of time.  The Crime Report may not include all reports received, however it does include three categories of incidents

  • General Assignment
    • Usually business crimes
  • Crimes Against Persons
    • Vicitim is an individual, not a business
  • Patrol
    • Reports generated by Patrol

 

What do the colors mean?

The Stafford Sheriff's Office divided the county into 4 sections.  For a map, click here.

  • A (Alpha)
  • B (Bravo)
  • C (Charlie)
  • D (Delta)

How can I receive these reports?

If you would like to receive these reports in your email, please send the following information to crimeprevention@co.stafford.va.us

  • Name
  • Address (include street address, city, state, zip)
  • Phone Number
  • Subdivision (if applicable)
  • Email Address

You will receive these reports periodically as they are prepared.  They are attached to an email as a Word Document as well as a PDF document.
