| Stafford, Va. The Stafford County Sheriff's Office reports the arrest of three juveniles in connection with an armed robbery that took place in Stafford early this morning. Two 17 year old male juveniles and one 14 year old male juvenile, all from Prince William County, have been charged with One Count of Armed Robbery, One Count of Possession of a Stolen Firearm, One Count of The Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and One Count of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery. All three juveniles are being held at the Rappahannock Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
This morning, at approximately 2:28 am, July 23, 2010, Deputy Eric Chinault responded to a call for a robbery in progress in the area of Pinnacle Drive and Highpointe Blvd. in the northern part of Stafford County. The victim told Chinault that he was walking home from work when he felt the presence of two subjects coming up behind him. Both subjects displayed handguns and told the victim that this was a "stick up". The subjects then ordered the man to the ground, searched him for money and took a duffel bag that the victim was carrying. The subjects then walked off as a vehicle drove by on the street. The victim then ran home and called 911.
Through investigation, Deputies were able to determine that the suspects in the robbery may have gone to the England Run area of South Stafford County. Deputy Mark Steininger responded to the area of Crossing Rd. and Lichfield Blvd where he was flagged down by a motorist who stated that he had seen juvenile males lying underneath a vehicle in the area of Crossing Road. Deputy Steininger located one of the suspects and took him into custody while additional units arrived on scene. Deputies were able to locate two additional suspects, one underneath a car and one suspect hiding between two cars. All three were taken into custody without incident. Items from the robbery in North Stafford were located in the possession of the suspects. In addition, several cars had been broken into in the area where the three juveniles were arrested and items from those vehicles were also located in the area where the juveniles were hiding. Deputies are investigating the possibility that the juveniles may have been breaking into cars in the area where they were arrested.
