The Stafford Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating larcenies from vehicles, burglaries from garages and stolen vehicles occurring recently in North Stafford neighborhoods.

Beginning in the late evening of Tuesday, April 11th and continuing in the early morning of Wednesday, April 12th the Embrey Mill neighborhood was the target of criminal activity. Several vehicles and garage break-ins occurred, and a vehicle was taken. Weapons, prescriptions, credit cards and cash were also stolen. These incidents were concentrated in the 400 block of Alder Drive. If residents of the area, shown on the map below, have security videos; the Sheriff’s Office is eager to view any footage in the Tuesday-Wednesday time frame.

In the early morning hours of Thursday, April 13th the Hampton Oaks neighborhood was similarly preyed upon. Again, the Sheriff’s Office is eager to view any residential security camera footage in the area mapped below. Three suspects were observed in the Hampton Oaks area of Old English Way and Arbor Lane. All were described as Hispanic juveniles, approximately 5’4” tall, weighing 120 lbs., with a thin build. The three were approximately 16-18 years of age. Two suspects had on black jackets and had short black hair. The third suspect was wearing a red athletic jacket and had black wavy hair and heavy eyebrows. One of the suspects in the black jackets had a purple cast on his right arm.

Anyone with security video footage or information on suspicious activity is asked to contact Detective McCullough at 540-658-4102. Stafford Crime Solvers is sharing resources with this investigation. Crime doesn’t pay – but Crime Solvers does. Contact Crime Solvers (where callers may remain anonymous) at 540-659-2020 or TEXT “Stafford” + your tip to CRIMES (274637).

The public is reminded that burglars will seize the opportunity to enter unlocked vehicles. Don’t make your car an easy target by leaving your doors unlocked.

• Always lock your doors.
• Spare car keys should not be stored in or on your car; thieves know where to look.
• Don’t forget to close windows and sunroofs.
• Consider installing a car alarm or security device and place anti-theft stickers on your vehicle.
